This series of drawing classes by renowned American Artist John Varriano provides a unique opportunity to develop and hone your artistic skills.

Meeting weekly at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, John Varriano will guide us through a deeper understanding of the intricacies, and majesty in rendering the human form. 

In the Greco Roman Wing we will learn to appreciate and draw antique portrait busts, full-body sculptures, Bas-Reliefs, and Greek Vases.  Special attention will be given to identifying and rendering the ideal - model poses; body proportions; facial, hand, and bodily expressions; and fabric draping. 

In the European Sculpture Court we will study and create drawings from a vast array of works by Renaissance, Baroque, Neo-Classical and Modern Masters.
