Open to all skill levels, beginners to advanced

*Attendees are allowed to switch class days if needed

*With the exception of your canvas all art supplies are included with your enrollment.  If students wish to bring their own oil paints and brushes they are welcome to do so. 

This dynamic series of painting classes by renowned American Artist, John Varriano provides a unique opportunity to explore and enhance your skills with oil paints.

Oil paints offer unlimited tonal and textural possibilities, and bold, vibrant, lasting color, making them the medium of choice for artists from the Renaissance to the present day.

In this series, Varriano guides his students through the exploration of still-lifes. A popular genre in oil painting and a subject matter that allows beginners to learn the fundamentals of oil painting, and propels more advanced students to sharpen and hone their skills. Students will have an opportunity to work with a variety of compositions including flowers, fruits, vases, artist casts, and musical instruments.

Varriano teaches a classical and academic approach which helps each student to craft and develop their individual style. During the classes students can explore, experiment and enhance their skills with aesthetic balance, light, shade, color, composition and textural variations .
